tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
My dad would rake all the autumn leaves into two huge piles in the woods. He would put is on top of the wheelbarrow and bounce us to the edge of the compost and unload me before tipping the earthy cracklings away. I thought this must be the safest warmest place in the world. That is why I tucked my precious cabbage patch baby doll gently into one of these massive hills, beneath sun dappled leaves that were sweet with the smell of decay. I never found my doll again, my parents searched all over, I knew where it was but could never sift through all the leaves.
sick of summer
Wishing for cozy fall weather.
